Who Runs The Twice Is Nice Consignment Sale?

__________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Sponsored by Northwood Temple Church, the Northwood Temple MOPS group serves as the employees, management and labor to assist in all aspects of the sale. Additionally,, volunteers from around the community dedicate time and body to helping these mothers succeed at  their philanthropic event.

What Is MOPS?

_________________________________________________________________________________________________________

MOPS is a grassroots movement that believes moms are world influencers. MOPS also believes that incubating hearts and giving just-because-hugs can change the course of history. That’s why they connect moms all over the world to a community of women, in their own neighborhoods, who meet together to laugh, cry and embrace the journey of motherhood. MOPS groups are rallying women to be more honest, to feel more equipped and to find their identity by journeying along side one another.

MOPS stands for Mothers of Preschoolers, and by preschoolers they mean kiddos from birth through kindergarten. They know it’s a little confusing so let’s just stick with “MOPS.” They are moms, and believe that better moms make a better world.

How Does Northwood Temple MOPS Helps The Community?

After each sale, unsold clothing is donated to local schools, shelters and charities. The sale also funds the Northwood Temple chapter of the non-profit group MOPS, a community of moms that offers friendship and practical mothering support. We also currently sponsor a Teen MOPS program benefitting young mothers from Falcon Children’s Home. Additionally, our MOPS group works with charities on a smaller scale throughout the year. Our past sales have helped to raise money for other charities including The Fort Bragg Fisher House, The Autism Society of Cumberland County and Cape Fear Cancer Center.
